Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese is made with 100% raw cow’s milk and aged for a minimum of 24 months. It is flavorful and complex, can be served as a table cheese or used to prepare different meals, and pairs great with any bold Tuscan wine or dry fruits.

This Parmigiano is brought from selected creameries. It’s made between April and November to ensure that the milk comes only from cattle fed with fresh pastures in the authorized production area. This is called "zona tipica" and includes Reggio-Emilia, Modena and Parma. The real DOC Parmigiano only can be made in these places.

Serving Suggestions: Try it with carpaccio, prosciutto (we prefer a good Jamón Iberico with this cheese, but is up to you). This Parmigiano-Reggiano is definitely more than a simple grating cheese.

Conservation tips:

Parmigiano-Reggiano is a big cheese. Wheels can weigh 88 pounds. To store a large piece, moisten a piece of cloth and wrap it around. Wrap the whole thing with aluminum foil and store it in the vegetable compartment of the refrigerator. For smaller pieces wrap in plastic and don't wait too long to eat.
