Grana Padano cheese is made with 100% raw cow’s milk. Aged for 18 months. Grana Padano, much like Parmigiano-Reggiano, is flavorful and complex. Great for grating. It’s cheaper than Parmigiano because production demands less specific conditions and is produced over a larger geographic area. It’s a classic cheese in Italy, it dates back to the XI century when monks started to produce it in the Po river valley. Grana; the Italian word for grainy, speaks to its structure and texture. A full-bodied taste with a mix of sweet and nutty flavors.

Serving Suggestions: You can grate it over your favorite pasta, but there is no fun in that. Dice it and pair it with strawberries and a bold Cabernet Sauvignon.

Conservation tips: Wrap it plastic film and store it in the vegetable crisper. Keep it away from stronger cheeses or the taste could be altered.
