For the last hundred years, Arturo Sanchez has been passionate about making the Best Iberian Pork product. Year after year, their product is unique in its kind. They remain faithful to their legacy, and after four generations, they have refined this knowledge, which is nothing more than breeding individual, exclusive Iberian pigs and the artisanal treatment given to each piece, acting in symbiosis with nature.

 

A unique pig


Arturo Sanchez selects the pigs following their requirements in terms of breed, age, and food. We know what we want, and we work exclusively with breeders whom they trust completely, in the best dehesa fields in the north of Seville and the south of Extremadura.


They are the only ones who wait, year after year, until their acorn-fed, 100% Iberian pigs reach two years of age and, therefore, have been fed with acorn for two montanteras seasons instead of just one.


Thus they get pigs with fully developed muscle and bone mass, with healthy fat infiltration in the tissue, which provides a level of oleic acid only surpassed by olive oil.


The combination of the 100% pure Iberian breed, the age and acorn-based feed during two long seasons, results in a unique quality of meat and infiltrated fat.


 


This product is Arturo Sanchez's soul. The visible face of the pillars and the foundations that have held their house together since 1917: excellence, craft, honesty, and tradition.


Time is an ally only for those who can wait: two years of living in freedom, in the dehesa fields, with two seasons to get a double acorn-based feed and its healthy nutritional properties; then, a minimum of 48 months' curing in Guijuelo, in natural drying sheds, where the cold, dry wind of the Bejar and Gredos mountains do the rest.
