Salchichon Iberico de Bellota is the best cured sausage made with 100% Iberico pork meat and pepper (not with paprika, like chorizo). Its consistent red color is darker than in regular salchichon. Made with pure Iberico breed pork meat, acorn fed, is well known for its “good fat” that helps to reduce heart disease risk.

The quality of this Salchichon is based on the Iberico breed quality. These pigs live in La Dehesa, a Mediterranean forest where holm and cork oaks provide their best diet.     I only knew Bellota from jamon, but once more, I see how lucky you Spaniards are with this wonderful Iberico pork breed. This salchichon is tender, tasty, the perfect snack. And as jamon, you have to cut it in thin slices. It’s weird eating a cured meat and having the feeling that you are having something healthy… But this salchichon really is!
